‘What the heck is Oktoberfest,’ you ask? Glad you did. To put it in simple terms, Oktoberfest is a big.. giant German festival.  It’s that time of year again when people from all over flock to Munich, Germany for the annual October beer festival. It’s not just about the multiple selections of strong beers - on every street and pub you’ll find bands, food, rides, tents, street music and crowds of more than 5 million people that attend each year. If you’re in the area, don’t miss the most famous event in Germany beginning end of Sept into October spanning over a 16-18 day period. Men must wear their lederhosen while the ladies wear their dirnd. The Oktoberfest is an important part of Bavarian culture, having been held since 1810. I may be going myself this year, so if you’re around give me a shout! -Tnoëly
